The Strategic Sourcing Lead will own the development and performance of products and services through awell-definedsourcing strategy key supplier relationships costtarget achievement and supplier growth that align with Millenniums mission and enterprise goals. This role partners with Global Supply Chain Engineering Programs Quality Business Development and senior leadership to drive sustainable cost reductions compliancereduced supplyriskandcontinueddelivery performance acrosskey/critical suppliers and the related position is fully onsite at our office in El Segundo California.
This positions internal job title is Supplier Program Mgmt. Our team is hiring for a level 4.
Position Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead strategic supplier development to meet cost quality delivery and agreement targets that support increased rampup and production rates
- Build andmaintaincrossfunctional relationships with Program Management Engineering Quality Finance and Operations toidentifyand engage critical suppliers
- Manage multiple commodity categories (mechanical electronics raw materials etc.) and develop new sources of supply
- Drive implementation oflong-termagreements (LTAs BPAs TAs MOUs) andestablishclear supplier relationship frameworks
- Support make/buy decisions and riskmitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply
Operational Excellence
- Oversee key supplier relationships to ensure compliance with program requirements and company policies
- Forward thinking in sourcingneedsandthe relatedstrategies
- Solid supplier/product technicaland sourcing knowledge
- Ensure all agreements meet FAR/DFARS and CPSR standards
- Develop plans and timelines that define critical supplierriskperformance availability and value propositiontargets
- Leadsupplier strategy supplier identification supplier categorization and supplierimprovement initiatives
- Partner with internal stakeholders to guaranteekey/critical supplier relationships and mutually beneficial relationships
- Support internal AS9100 and CPSR audit readiness activities
Supplier Management & Relationship Building
- Drive supplier innovation reduced lead times and achievement of cost targets
- Manage supplier escalations and create recovery plans for schedule or quality issues
- Conduct key supplierevaluationsbusinessreviewsand lead performanceimprovementinitiatives
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors degree in:Supply Chain Management Business AdministrationEngineeringor related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8years of experience sourcing including 3years in asupplier developmentrole
- Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS supplier agreements and CPSRcompliant procurement practices
- Experience managing multiple commodities and supplier bases in an aerospace or defense environment
- Strong pricetermsand delivery negotiationexperience
- Strong executive presence and ability to present strategyand technical information for alignment and approval at multiple organizational levels
- Proficiencyin PPT Excel andMicrosoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Masters degree in business or supply chain management
- APICS/ASCM or CPSM certification
- Demonstrated success implementing strategic sourcing and supplier development programs
- Excellent negotiation analytical and communication skills
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and engage at all organizational levels

Summary pay range: Level 4: $114400 - $168253
