DFS Operator

Position Summary

TheDFS Operatorcreatesfinal output filesfor flexographic imaging devicesand outputsmanufacturing proofs.

EssentialResponsibilities

• Prepare finalflexoor corrugateplating files for transfer to theorder entrysystem in preparation for imaging on those devices.

• Prepare final files for imaging film for the liquid plate department.

• Place plating files strategically on page layouts to maximize sheet usageattainingthe highest possible yield on the plate material used for that production order.

• Reviewall production orders on theflexoor corrugateplating schedules andpullthose orders forward to make sure all plate materialsare beingfullyutilizedfor reduction of scrap.

• Create the cutting files for all plate ordersutilizingthecutting/drilltables for plate trimming.

• Image and QC plotted film for the liquid plate department.

• Printjob tickets cardsand plotters on each job as per ordersfor the mounting department.

• Test new products introduced into the department.

• Maintain and calibrate all plotters as permanufacturerecommendations.

• Keepproduction scheduleup to date.

• Complete all assigned output and DFS tasks within the order entry system.

• Work with manager on scheduling outside vendorsrequiredforequipmentrepairs.

• Overseeinventoryand order supplies needed for the department.

• Assistin trainingnew employees.

• Attend all EnvironmentalHealth&Safetytraining sessions and other company-wide and departmental meetings.

• Keepworkarea clean and organized.

• Read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

• Follow all personal protective equipment (PPE) procedures.

• Follow departmentalstandard operating procedures (SOP).

• Work overtime when requested by management.

• When handing off jobs to co-workers/next shift clearly communicate any information for job completion.

• Assistwithadditionalresponsibilities as directed by management.

Education Experience&Certification

• High school diplomaorGEDequivalent

• Working knowledge of computers both Mac and PC and graphics-related computer applicationspreferred

• Ableto learn new plating technologies as theyapply to DFS.

• Maintain exemplary attendance and punctuality.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $21 - $22 USD hourly. Ultimately in determining pay we will consider the successful candidates location experience and other job-related factors.
