We are seeking an organized compassionate and service-oriented CredentialedVeterinary Technicianwho is confident in rooming patients assisting in surgery placing IV catheters drawing blood and running bloodwork has experience with x-ray and proper positioning understands the importance of client education and is a supportive and positive team player. Essential Job Tasks:
- Assists the veterinarian during the examination of animals
- Providing restraint as needed in order to work safely and effectively
- Prepare and administer treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
- Collect prepare and label samples for laboratory testing culture or microscopic examination
- Assist in prepping patients for surgery (or an aptitude to learn)
- Obtain radiographs of animals with knowledge of proper positioning and techniques
- Ensure a comfortable and sanitary environment for all patients
- Responsible for the care of boarding and hospitalized patients
- Prepare and sanitize the surgery suite - clean and maintain holding areas
- Communicate with pet owners using a professional compassionate and helpful attitude using knowledge of preventative health care recommendations to accurately answer questions and relay doctors information.
Pay Range: $20.00-$24.00 based on experience and licensure status
