Our Engineering Design Organization (EDO) is looking for a Senior Civil Designer to join the team in Buffalo NY! In this role you will operate as a CAD manager on multidiscipline projects coordinating project set-up chartering documents and maintain designer team schedules. Youll prepare detailed design drawings for grading and site development utility piping process piping and chemical feed system layouts of moderate to advanced complexity including developing alignments profiles cross sections and details specific to wastewater/water facilities and horizontal infrastructure design projects.

Working with an energetic and hard-working team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools methods and formats. Involves working independently.
• Solutions Analysis: Analyze specific problems and issues to find the best solutions. Solutions could be technical or professional in nature.
• Applications Software Maintenance: Monitor identify and correct straightforward software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software.
• Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology external regulation and industry best practices through ongoing education attending conferences and reading specialist media.
• Operational Compliance: Identify within the team instances of noncompliance with the organizations policies and procedures and/or relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct reporting these instances and escalating issues as appropriate.
• Product and Solution Development: Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems.
• Design and Conceptualization: Produce multiple concepts and prototypes to design digital products/services.
• Operating Machine or Equipment: Operate complex machines and systems adjusting processes to optimize quality and productivity. Also responsible for generating solutions to complex inefficiencies.
• Quality Assurance Testing: Carry out a specified range of complex tests; interpret test data to verify that specifications are met and/or to identify remedial actions required to ensure conformance.

What you will bring to the team:

• Associates degree in CADD or Civil Engineering Technology; HS Diploma and relevant experience will also be considered
• 10-15 years of experience in site-civil / water & wastewater / storm water / erosion & sediment control design
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil3D
• Revit Civil HydroCAD and TR-55 experience a plus
• Understanding of survey fundamentals preferred

Salary range: $32.00-$53.00 based on experience
