The Coventry University-Deakin University Strategic Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme
The Scheme builds on a longstanding and productive partnership between the two institutions encompassing joint research programs student mobility and dual award degrees and reflecting a shared commitment to international education and innovation. The Scheme supports research groupled postdoctoral projects that strengthen established and emerging research teams and drive research excellence funding success and impact. We are inviting four fellows to lead and contribute to highquality research activities ensuring ethical data collection conduct management and analysis and report on performance expectations and external funding outcomes through structured annual and final reporting over the duration of the award.
As part of the Coventry University and Deakin University Strategic Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow you will:
- Conduct highquality research and scholarship that delivers impact locally nationally and internationally contributing to a growing body of recognised highquality outputs.
- Collaborate across disciplines and with industry and community partners to engage in innovative research and creative activities with realworld impact.
- Contribute to funding success and research delivery supporting and/or leading competitive grant applications and ensuring timely highquality outcomes.
- Develop research capability and academic profile including cosupervising students building a track record of excellence and working with mentors to implement an earlycareer research plan.
- Demonstrate university citizenship and engagement contributing to institutional priorities community engagement initiatives and the broader mission and strategic agenda of the University.
To be successful youll have:
- A PhD in a relevant discipline (or equivalent qualifications) awarded within the past three years at the time of application.
- Demonstrated capability to meet the specific competencies required for Fellowship Project 1 or Fellowship Project 2 (applicable to the School of Health and Social Development positions)
- An emerging research profile evidenced by highquality publications and scholarly outputs.
- Demonstrated success or strong potential in securing competitive research funding.
- Commitment to research that contributes to communities and delivers tangible impact.
- Capacity to contribute to research leadership and administrative activities within a collaborative environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build effective and collegial working relationships.
- A commitment to travel and be based at Coventry University in the United Kingdom for a minimum of 6 months of the three year term
