Job Summary
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Flight Operations: Operate private jets in accordance with flight plans and FAA regulations executing all phases of flight from takeoff to landing with precision.
Pre- and Post-Flight Inspections: Conduct thorough checks of engines fuel navigation systems and safety equipment; ensure aircraft weight and balance are within limits
Weather Monitoring: Assess and adjust flight plans based on changing weather conditions
Navigation: Use cockpit instruments and visual references to navigate safely
Client Service: Provide exceptional service address passenger needs and maintain confidentiality
Emergency Procedures: Perform necessary emergency actions if necessary
Maintenance Coordination: Work with maintenance teams to keep aircraft in optimal condition
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate flight logs maintenance records and incident reports
Training: Attend regular training to stay current on aviation technology procedures and regulations
Qualifications
Licenses: Valid FAA Commercial Pilot License with multi-engine and instrument ratings
Experience: Minimum 35 years as a commercial or private jet pilot
Education: Bachelors degree in Aviation Aeronautics or a related field is preferred
Skills: Strong navigational skills decision-making under pressure excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Physical Requirements: Ability to pass FAA medical standards and meet health requirements
Work Environment
Schedule: Flexible often on-call with availability for weekends holidays and overnight stays
Travel: Extensive domestic and international travel
