A well-established national organisation headquartered in Perths Eastern suburbs is seeking an experienced Wintel Engineer with strong Microsoft Security expertise to join their team on an initial contract engagement through to the end of September 2025 with genuine potential for extension beyond that date.
This is an immediately available role for someone who can hit the ground running. Youll be embedded within a capable IT team contributing to the security posture of a complex Windows environment with a particular focus on Microsoft Defender and Endpoint Management.
Supporting and administering Windows server and desktop infrastructure in a large-scale environment
Deploying managing and tuning Microsoft Defender for Endpoint across the estate
Investigating and responding to security alerts and endpoint incidents
Collaborating with security and infrastructure teams to harden the environment
Maintaining and improving endpoint management policies and configurations
Contributing to security documentation reporting and compliance activities
Your skills
Solid Wintel engineering background (Windows Server Active Directory Group Policy)
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
Endpoint Management Intune / MECM / SCCM
Confident working in enterprise-scale environments
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with stakeholders
Bonus experience.
Microsoft Purview data governance & compliance
Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policy design & management
Experience with Microsoft 365 Security Centre
Familiarity with Sentinel or broader Microsoft Security stack
