Job Requirements
Location:Burlington ON -Travel requirement: 2 days on site per week and travel to Tiverton for periods of approximately 2 weeks to 1 month (per diem applies)
CGP (Controlled Goods) clearance:Required (active or expired BP or OPG)
Project Context
The Project Manager will be accountable for the delivery of engineering and/or manufacturing projects supporting customers within theCANDU Nuclear industry. Typical projects range in value from approximately$100K to $5Mand support long-term programs with a multiyear outlook.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycles from proposal phase through to implementation
- Define methods resources and strategies required to meet project objectives and develop comprehensive project execution plans covering all project phases
- Balance and manage competing project constraints including scope quality schedule budget resources and risks
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules with support from a project scheduler and identify resourcing requirements to drive performance
- Develop and implement recovery plans to address delayed activities and bring deliverables back on track
- Maintain full accountability for project financial performance
- Monitor project expenditures and performance indicators and update forecasts addressing deviations as they are identified
- Control project scope by interpreting contracts and Statements of Work and monitoring activities and customer requests accordingly
- Travel to customer locations and other Westinghouse facilities as required
Candidate Requirements
MustHave Qualifications
- Nuclear industry experience withBruce Power (BP) or Ontario Power Generation (OPG)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)certification
- Experience supportingexecution and/or construction activitiesfor BP or OPG projects
