As we do so we continue to support the Shelter Project the companys in-house compassion program that has been providing free cannabis oil to cancer patients since 2014.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing day-to-day accounts receivable operations including customer service collections and cash application
Monitor customer accounts (dispensaries distributors wholesalers) to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies
Review AR aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due accounts
Ensure all transactions comply with California cannabis regulations (e.g. licensing requirements track-and-trace systems like METRC)
Coordinate with sales compliance and distribution teams to resolve invoicing or delivery discrepancies
Support preparation of financial reports related to receivables revenue and cash flow
Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory inspections
Assist in managing credit risk by evaluating customer payment histories and setting credit limits
Support month-end and year-end close processes including reconciliations
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
35 years of accounts receivable or accounting experience
Experience in cannabis highly regulated industries or CPG preferred
Familiarity with California cannabis regulations and compliance requirements is a strong plus
Experience with ERP/accounting systems
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with cannabis compliance systems (e.g. METRC)
Ability to manage high-volume multi-entity transactions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Details:
Location: Fully remote (California-based)
Reports To: Sr. AR Manager
Work Environment: Fast-paced highly regulated
On-Site Requirements: May require occasional on-site presence depending on licensing and operational needs
Schedule: Occasional extended hours may be required
Compensation: $78000$92000 per year.
