Job Description:
Prepare and proofread exhibition materials; manage curatorial paperwork and acquisition contracts.
Coordinate and oversee financial processes (budgets expenditures vendor payments) and annual budget proposals.
Schedule and manage curators travel appointments and speaking engagements including presentation materials.
Act as curatorial liaison to museum staff volunteers and the public; coordinate interdepartmental interactions.
Participate in staff meetings exhibition planning strategic planning finance meetings and grant applications.
Assist in creating longterm exhibition schedules and with monthly exhibition committee meetings.
Respond to research inquiries and public requests; disseminate exhibition information.
Supervise OPS employees volunteers interns and workstudy students as needed in the curators absence.
Expected Salary:
$20 per hour
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
BA/BS in arts administration art history English history anthropology library science or related field
Excellent organizational planning writing editing and proofreading skills.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork aptitude
Proficiency in Outlook Teams Zoom TMS PowerPoint Publisher and Excel
Knowledge of data collection methods and ability to compile and analyze data
Selfdirected and careerminded
Excellent communication skills
