Student Assistant in Accounting at GlobalConnect A/S (Copenhagen)

Are you currently pursuing a degree in finance or accounting and eager to turn theory into practice Then we have an exciting opportunity for you at GlobalConnect A/S.

We are looking for a motivated Student Assistant to join our Accounting team in Copenhagen where you will have the opportunity to work closely with skilled colleagues and build strong competencies within finance and accounting in a pan-Nordic organization.

About the role

As a Student Assistant at GlobalConnect A/S you will become an important part of our Accounting team and experience a varied workday with both operational and more analytical tasks.

You will gain hands-on experience with key accounting processes and insight into how a large Nordic company works with accounting in practice.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is currently pursuing a relevant degree in accounting finance or a related field
• Is in the middle of their bachelors degree or about to begin their masters
• Has a basic understanding of accounting (Debit/credit)
• Is eager to learn develop professionally and take ownership of assigned tasks
• Is structured curious and ready to take on both complex and more routine tasks

Experience within accounting is an advantage but not a requirement.

The position is approximately 15 hours per week on average with flexibility to accommodate your studies.

Your tasks:

You will have a broad range of responsibilities including:

• Bookkeeping and preparation of journal entries
• Preparation of VAT reports and reporting to the Danish Tax Agency
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Data clean-up and structuring
• Preparation of audit materials
• Participation in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ad hoc tasks across the team

You will be part of the Accounting team at GlobalConnect A/S consisting of three Financial Controllers one Senior Financial Controller and our Head of Accounting.
