Were looking for a Senior Data Scientist who blends deep technical expertise with exceptional leadership and project management skills. This is not just an individual contributor role; you will be responsible for laying out priorities for the data team managing multiple resources and providing a strategic roadmap for all data studies within the company.

You will replace and elevate our current standards working directly with leadership to execute priorities and communicate insights with clarity and speed.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Roadmap: Develop and manage a full roadmap for all data science studies and initiatives.

• Team Leadership: Manage multiple data science resources ensuring the team stays hyper-organized and meets execution deadlines.

• End-to-End Execution: Lead data projects from gathering and preprocessing to advanced modeling and executive-level presentation.

• AI-Driven Efficiency: Leverage AI coding tools (like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development analysis and visualization tasks.

• Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary bridge between the data team and leadership providing clear concise and professional reports on project status and findings.

• Project Management: Oversee the entire teams priorities ensuring operational excellence and accountability.

Requirements

• Flexible work arrangement: hybrid in San Francisco or fully remote for the right candidate.

• Timezone: Must be able to work EST/CST

• Communication: Tip-top English communication skills are mandatory. You must be able to explain complex methodologies and business impacts to the CEO and other stakeholders effortlessly.

• Experience: 6 years of applied Data Science experience with a proven track record of managing projects and mentoring others.

• Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python (NumPy Pandas Scikit-learn PyTorch/TensorFlow) and SQL.

• AI Proficiency: Strong experience using AI tools to streamline coding and data analysis workflows.

• Management Skills: Exceptional project management ability; you are hyper-organized and comfortable managing multiple concurrent workstreams.

• Academic Background: Masters or PhD in a quantitative field or equivalent high-level portfolio/research experience.

Bonus Points

• Experience with automated visualization libraries (e.g. Plotly).

• History of successfully turning around underperforming team processes.

• Active presence in the AI/ML community (GitHub Kaggle or Research).
