Core Responsibilities

1. Academic Excellence: Teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) with the opportunity to specialize in A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics for qualified candidates.

2. Algebraic Reasoning: Guiding students from the foundations of variables and expressions to the complexities of quadratic equations and functions.

3. Geometric Investigation: Leading students through the study of shape space and measure including trigonometry and the application of circle theorems.

4. Statistical Analysis: Training students to handle and interpret large data sets understanding probability and developing the critical thinking skills to evaluate statistical claims.

5. Oxbridge & STEP Support: Providing specialized mentoring for students aiming for competitive university courses including preparation for the MAT and STEP papers.

The Successful Candidate We are looking for a mathematician who can communicate the elegance and utility of the subject. Requirements include:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics or a highly quantitative field (e.g. Engineering or Physics).

• Subject Mastery: A deep understanding of the curriculum and the ability to stretch high-ability learners while scaffolding concepts for those who find the subject challenging.

• Instructional Flair: The ability to use modeling and I do We do You do strategies to build student confidence and independence.
