Core Responsibilities
Academic Delivery: Teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) with the opportunity to contribute to A-Level Mathematics (Pure Mechanics and Statistics) for qualified candidates.
Algebraic Proficiency: Guiding students from the basics of expressions and equations to the mastery of quadratic functions sequences and rearrangement of complex formulae.
Geometric Reasoning: Leading students through the study of shape and space including the application of Pythagoras Theorem trigonometry and circle theorems.
Data Handling: Training students to interpret analyse and present data effectively fostering a critical understanding of probability and statistical bias.
Exam Preparation: Utilizing diagnostic tracking to identify gaps in knowledge and delivering targeted interventions to ensure every student is prepared for their GCSE and A-Level examinations.
The Successful Candidate We are looking for a teacher who can turn abstract numbers into tangible opportunities. Requirements include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics or a related quantitative discipline (e.g. Physics Engineering or Economics).
Instructional Clarity: The ability to model complex procedures clearly using Scaffolded Practice to build student independence and confidence.
Classroom Management: A positive and proactive approach to engagement creating a focused environment where students are encouraged to participate and ask questions.
Analytical Skills: A teacher who uses assessment data to refine their planning and provide high-quality formative feedback that drives student progress.
