Job Summary

About the role

Longbarn provides specialised supported housing for individuals who are homeless and experiencing challenges related to substance or alcohol misuse. You will be responsible for leading a team to deliver a high-quality housing support service. This includes inspiring motivating and challenging staff to improve both performance and outcomes for the people who use our services. You will also play a key role in supporting staff wellbeing providing supervision coaching and mentoring while ensuring that customers are supported to achieve independent and successful lives.

General duties

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the service including health and safety ongoing maintenance and maintaining positive neighbour relationships.
  • Take responsibility for the annual budget and monitor service income and expenditure.
  • Work in conjunction with HR to manage all relevant procedures including sickness absence disciplinary and contractual matters.
  • Lead on recruitment processes for the service.
  • Monitor service delivery and develop review and update procedures as appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities businesses commissioners and the local authority.

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience in a support environment with a strong understanding of leadership and management principles.
  • Ability to motivate inspire and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear and accurate reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers staff and external partners.
  • Knowledge and understanding of homelessness and related support needs.
  • Understanding of the Psychological Environment framework.

Pay and Pensions

Full-time Salary: 32980.00

  • Pension Choices:

Time off and Flexibility
