We are based in Vienna the most liveable city in the world and are looking for a motivated Chemical Laboratory Technician to support our team in running trials with our in-house carbonation technologies.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare execute and monitor laboratory trials for CO₂ sequestration in mineral residues.
  • Operate maintain and calibrate lab equipment and experimental setups.
  • Perform sample preparation handling and chemical analyses (e.g. XRD XRF titrations ICP gravimetric methods).
  • Accurately record organize and evaluate test data in collaboration with process engineers and data specialists.
  • Support optimization of experimental protocols and contribute to scaling lab results into pilot-scale trials.
  • Ensure safe laboratory practices and compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the R&D team to translate scientific concepts into repeatable and reliable experiments.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educational background in Chemical Engineering Chemistry Process Engineering or Laboratory Technology (degree or technician diploma).
  • At least 2 years of laboratory or process-related work experience (industrial academic or applied research).
  • Hands-on laboratory skills with strong attention to detail and safety.
  • Experience with analytical methods for solid materials is a plus.
  • Familiarity with experimental design documentation and quality control.
  • Proactive solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Passion for sustainability and interest in carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) technologies.
