This role is ideal for an experienced mechanical engineer who enjoys combining handson design work with simulationdriven engineering and who wants to see their ideas move quickly from concept to prototype to production.

Tasks

Your Role & Impact

In this position you will contribute to the full product lifecyclefrom early design concepts through simulation validation and manufacturing readiness. You will work on highprecision components and assemblies optimizing them for:

  • Thermal performance
  • Acoustic behavior
  • Mechanical stability
  • Manufacturability

You will collaborate closely with experts in product development electronics MEMS engineering and Operations ensuring your designs meet both technical and realworld constraints.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CREO and/or Autodesk Fusion 360
  • Perform thermal and acoustic simulationsusing COMSOL Multiphysics
  • Analyze validate and optimize designs based on simulation and test results
  • Support prototyping testing and iterative design improvements
  • Document designs simulation setups and key engineering decisions
  • Actively collaborate with crossfunctional teams across the organization

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 4 years of handson experience with COMSOL Multiphysics
  • Strong experience with CREO and/or Autodesk Fusion 360 (or comparable CAD tools)
  • Solid understanding of thermal and acoustic simulations and physicsbased modeling
  • Experience in mechanical design and product development
  • Analytical structured and solutionoriented working style
  • Ability to work both independently and within crossfunctional teams
  • Fluent English (German is a plus but not required)

Nice to have (but not required):

  • Multiphysics simulations beyond thermal/acoustics
  • Prototyping and validation experience
  • Manufacturing knowledge
  • Basic programming skills (e.g. MATLAB Python)
  • Experience in optomechanical systems or MEMS

Compensation & Legal Information

  • Minimum salary: 51156.70 gross per year based on the Austrian collective agreement for the metal industry
  • The actual salary will be determined individually based on your qualifications and experience
  • Applicants must have a valid work permit for Austria
