Senior Estimator

About the Role

Im recruiting this exciting opportunity on behalf of a leading client in the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) sector. They are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to play a key role in delivering precise and competitive cost estimates for high-voltage (HV) capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in large-scale infrastructure projects an in-depth understanding of HV systems and a proven ability to manage complex budgets.

Key Responsibilities

In this role as Senior Estimator you will:

• Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for HV CAPEX projects ensuring alignment with project specifications and client needs.
• Analyze project documents specifications and plans to assess scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers engineers and procurement teams to gather necessary data for comprehensive cost analysis.
• Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities within cost estimates while providing mitigation strategies.
• Maintain and enhance a database of historical cost data to improve the precision of future estimates.
• Review and validate subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure budget alignment.
• Present cost estimates and supporting documentation to stakeholders.
• Stay informed of industry trends market conditions and HV system advancements to ensure competitive pricing.

Key Requirements

To excel in this role you should demonstrate:

• A degree in Engineering Construction Management Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Proven experience in cost estimation for HV CAPEX projects ideally within the energy utilities or infrastructure industries.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage systems equipment and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in estimation software and advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• A commitment to producing high-quality work and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
