Role: DBT Developer(Data Vault automation and data modelling using Python)

Rate: $67/hr on c2c with 4.8% of VMS.
We are seeking a skilled DBT Developer with expertise in Data Vault automation and data modeling using Python. The ideal candidate will design build and optimize scalable data pipelines and models to support enterprise-level analytics and reporting. This role requires strong technical proficiency in DBT Python and modern data warehousing concepts with a focus on automation and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain DBT models for enterprise data warehouse solutions.
- Implement Data Vault 2.0 methodology for scalable and auditable data modeling.
- Automate data modeling workflows using Python scripts and reusable frameworks.
- Collaborate with data engineers analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into efficient data models.
- Optimize SQL queries and DBT transformations for performance and scalability.
- Ensure data quality lineage and governance across all pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines and modeling processes.
- Document processes standards and best practices for DBT and Data Vault automation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a DBT Developer or Data Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 methodology and data modeling principles.
- Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Experience with modern cloud data platforms (Snowflake BigQuery Redshift or Azure Synapse).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data orchestration tools (Airflow Prefect Dagster).
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and metadata management.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and collaborative development practices.
- Prior experience in contract consulting roles within enterprise data environments
