Survery Engineer

10 Weeks

Remote Travel - Road Warrior - traveling to 25 sites in 2 1/2 months to conduct the cell surveys. Each survey is probably around 2 hrs.

$70 - $75/hr on W2

To complete a cellular network scan survey at multiple locations. Execute a physical evaluation of signal strength quality and performance for mobile networks (2G-5G) across 25 sites. This survey will identify map and analyze carrier signal coverage interference and cell tower data to inform decisions on infrastructure such as installing signal boosters (DAS) or improving connectivity.

Key Aspects:

• Purpose: To measure coverage signal quality (RSRP/RSRQ) and identify dead zones.
• Data Collected: It identifies active network operators tower IDs frequencies and signal strength (3G 4G 5G).
• Tools: Specialized software such as iBwave Mobile or the Cell LinQ app with a meter to perform blind scans (checking all available bands).
• Outcomes: Validates performance ensures regulatory compliance and supports network expansion or troubleshooting.

These surveys are carried out at specific points on a floor plan to produce heatmaps and data logs ensuring that mobile infrastructure provides the intended service level.
