The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance planning and support for the Companys Azure cloud compute networking and storage infrastructure. They will partner with business IT Security Software Development and other IT Infrastructure teams on projects to ensure secure delivery and upkeep of business initiatives. The Azure Cloud Engineer provides technical leadership and guidance to project team members and technical staff.
This position will be with National Indemnity Company in Omaha NE with a hybrid 50% in the office work environment. This position is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship.
What will you do
- Perform day-to-day cloud engineering tasks such as provisioning of azure hub and spoke networks compute storage using IaC; administrate identity and access support third party tool integrations to Azure build automation and other cloud engineering tasks at the base infrastructure level.
- Participate in technical architecture discussions with enterprise and domain architects and other IT team members as appropriate to help design and build modern cloud solutions.
- Responsible for monitoring the health and performance of the Companys cloud and on-prem platforms applications and services
- Implement and maintain proper security levels for Company systems and cloud-based applications according to company security policies
- Work with Product Owners and other business team members to help empower their digital transformation goals and provide resource deployment orchestration automation and configuration expertise.
What are we looking for
- Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- IaC (Infrastructure as Code) preferably Bicep ARM Templates (JSON) / CLI Powershell
- DevOps pipelines experience (CI/CD)
