Job Summary

The Supervisor Audio Video will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all Audio Video systems and hardware located within the facility systems to include but not limited to background music and paging TV screens video distribution and advertising media signage players. Supervise all AV Department personnel and production contractor staff while on site. Supervise and assist third party production companies for special events in the Epicenter. Provide in house AV setup and services for special events and support of casino floor operations.

Essential Duties/Core Competencies

  • Ensures trouble-free operation of all AV systems and services.
  • Supports contracted production companies for all in house live entertainment and special events such as concerts conventions and social events in the Epicenter.
  • Repairs and maintains all in house AV systems as needed or directed.
  • Responsible for quality consistent presentation and operation of all AV services and products delivered to guest.
  • Responds to service and support requests in a helpful efficient and timely manner while maintaining documentation and reporting procedures.
  • Works closely with Facilities IT Engineering Marketing and casino operations to ensure AV systems and support are operating in a smooth trouble-free manner.
  • Attends in house and third-party technical training in current as well as emerging technologies.
  • Schedules and manages technical staff.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Work/Educational Experience

  • Must be at least 18 years old possess a high school or equivalent diploma and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the applicable statute rules and regulations.
  • Five (5) years experience in design and commissioning of large scale installed AV systems with three (3) years experience in a high volume luxury complex resort/casino environment
  • 10 years experience in live show Audio Video productions
  • CTS certification or technology specific degree desired
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the New York State Gaming Commission
  • Knowledge of digital and analog audio system hardware troubleshooting
  • Experienced on Soundcraft and Yamaha digital mixers.
  • Experienced in live sound reinforcement
  • Experience with Crestron control systems
  • Strong networking experience
  • DMX lighting control
  • Experience with Dante digital audio and Biamp DSP
  • Must be willing to become certified in any discipline pertaining to any or all of the technologies used within the AV systems

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least twenty-five (25) pounds and varied instances of standing/walking.

Language Skills:

Ability to read analyze and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals maintenance instructions and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Fluency in English required second language a plus. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.

Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability:

Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimal and work with mathematical such as probability and inference. Ability to create read and analyze spread sheets of statistical data. Ability to decipher various reports and maintains reports upon request.
