For our location in Bern we are currently looking for

2x Senior Laboratory Specialist - Technical Operations

This role supports the discovery development and advancement of new medicines for unmet medical needs from early research through clinical trials and into commercialization. Key activities include conducting scientific analyses ensuring clinical safety standards are met and maintaining accurate research documentation and information systems. The position also collaborates with regulatory stakeholders to support global product registration activities as required.

The incumbent contributes to the design and implementation of experimental and manufacturing processes supports integrated project and team activities and helps ensure technical and operational goals are achieved. Responsibilities extend to providing input for project reporting and decisionmaking assisting with portfolio evaluation activities and supporting strategies that promote effective resource use and risk addition the role helps address challenges associated with technology transfer and scaleup performing tests and measurements throughout development and early production stages while maintaining alignment with applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Support the team in leveraging technology platform capabilities to contribute to project goals.
Assist in coordinating local and global research and development activities under guidance.
Participate in collaborative efforts with other CSL sites and external partners with appropriate supervision.
Apply foundational knowledge of relevant scientific disciplines to support laboratory tasks and project execution.
Work under close to moderate supervision to meet operational objectives with limited impact on broader departmental outcomes.
Resolve routine problems and contribute to discussions on more complex issues with support from senior team members.
Communicate effectively within the team by sharing relevant information and adhering to established policies and procedures.

Job Specifications & Requirements

Bachelors degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. molecular biology cellular biology biochemistry or related field).
Up to 2 years of laboratory or research experience including internships or academic lab work.
Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and standard safety protocols.
Strong willingness to learn develop new skills and contribute within a collaborative research environment.
