About the Role

Joining our team in Palmyra Thornlie and surrounding suburbs on a casual basis you will support various people with disability who access our respite and lifestyles support services as well supported independent living and community access.

We are looking for candidates who are able to quickly build positive relationships and are enthusiastic about providing active support and getting involved in the varying interests of the people accessing our services this may range from getting involved in arts and crats sports shopping or accessing the community.

The successful candidate will have experience in a mental health support and must be available for a variety ofcasual shifts inPalmyra and surrounding suburbs which may include short and last minute shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care
  • Follow person-centred support and behaviour plans
  • Facilitate client goal achievement through meaningful activities
  • Maintain thorough record keeping
  • Build positive relationships with clients families and colleauges
  • Advocate for client choice and control

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with people with disability
  • Experience in a mental health support role
  • Previous experience working with behaviour support plans
  • Experience with personal care and manual handling
  • Strong computer and verbal and written communication skills
  • An unrestricted Australian drivers licence
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and obtain an NDIS Clearance.
