Job Summary
Our client in the Telecoms sector is seeking a professional GIS Program Solution Architect (Information Security Focus) on a contract duration of 8 months.
Job Purpose
To design govern and deliver secure scalable Geographic Information System (GIS) solutions aligned with the organisations Information Security Program. The role ensures that all GIS platforms data and integrations comply with enterprise architecture standards cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements while enabling business value through geospatial capabilities.Required Skills & Experience
- 812 years in IT with strong experience in solution architecture
- Proven experience in GIS platforms (e.g. Esri ArcGIS or similar)
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
- Experience integrating GIS with enterprise systems and data platforms
- Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles including:
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Data protection and encryption
- Network security and secure APIs
- Cloud security (Azure AWS or GCP)
- Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001 NIST or similar
- Strong understanding of data governance and privacy regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related field
- Relevant certifications (advantageous):
- TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification
- CISSP CISM or similar security certification
- GIS certifications (e.g. Esri Technical Certification)
