Role Overview
Our client is looking for a Security Support Engineer to join their customer-facing technical team.
This is not a traditional helpdesk role. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers helping them deploy integrate troubleshoot and get maximum value from security technologies in complex enterprise environments.
The ideal candidate combines strong systems and networking knowledge with excellent troubleshooting ability curiosity and a genuine passion for cybersecurity.
You should enjoy solving difficult technical problems learning new technologies and helping customers succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers.
Assist with product deployments across customer environments.
Support integrations involving APIs Syslog SSO MFA Webhooks SIEM platforms and cloud services.
Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across Windows Linux and macOS environments.
Work with virtualisation and cloud platforms including VMware Azure AWS and GCP.
Create and maintain technical documentation deployment guides and troubleshooting resources.
Assist customers in understanding best practices for deployment integration and operational use.
Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve customer outcomes.
Continuously learn new technologies platforms and security concepts.
Required Experience
Experience in Technical Support Systems Administration Infrastructure Engineering Security Operations or a similar technical role.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
Experience troubleshooting DNS firewalls routing VPNs SSL/TLS and authentication systems.
Working knowledge of Windows Linux and macOS environments.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP.
Familiarity with scripting or automation using PowerShell Bash Python or similar technologies.
Experience working with APIs and system integrations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
VMware Nutanix OpenStack or virtualisation experience.
Home lab CTF Hack The Box or personal technical projects.
