The Role

• The appointee will lead the Technical Staff team supporting the Master Programmes Office of the School ensuring the provision of technical support services for the administrative teaching and learning activities of the Master Programmes of the School. The role includes maintaining high availability and ensuring the smooth operation of in-house systems network infrastructure websites and applications.
• The appointee will also be responsible for planning executing delivering and managing internal systems software projects and data management platforms to meet the evolving IT needs of the office.
• Furthermore the role requires collaborating effectively with various university IT stakeholders and ensuring compliance with network and data security privacy and institutional policies.
• Other duties include IT budget planning developing procurement strategies and managing tendering processes (e.g. evaluation criteria vendor selection timeline and documentation).

Qualifications and Qualities

• Applicants should hold a Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related discipline; a Masters degree is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is required with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing IT infrastructure computing systems data management platforms software development projects and websites. Proficiency in both Linux and Windows Server platforms is essential.
• Strong leadership abilities and effective vendor negotiation skills are essential along with proficiency in budgeting procurement strategies and good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.

The appointment will be made onfixed-term full-time contract for 2 years tocommenceas soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
