We are looking for an Electronics Intern to join our Manufacturing Engineering team (Sustaining Products) where we leverage our expertise to support the production of advanced electron microscopes. The intern will work closely with experienced engineers and will be supported by a dedicated mentor throughout the internship.
This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience with cutting-edge technology in a manufacturing environment (not R&D) while contributing to meaningful engineering work from day one.
Main Responsibilities
- Work with scanning electron and ion microscopes primarily testing functions of individual modules and complete systems
- Support manufacturing operations including analysis and troubleshooting of technical issues
- Contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with basic design or improvement of electrical tools fixtures or test setups
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams especially Manufacturing and R&D
- Update technical documentation and support data analysis
Requirements
- Student (Bachelors or Masters) in Electronics or a related field (e.g. Mechatronics Physics Electrical Engineering)
- Strong interest in electronics; hands-on experience or personal projects are a plus
- Proactive mindset and willingness to learn
- Ability to think independently and solve problems
- Good communication skills and a mature approach to teamwork
- Basic English communication skills
- Ability to communicate at least at a basic level in Czech or Slovak (required for collaboration in production)
- Experience with tools such as Altium is an advantage but not required
