Senior Financial Analyst, US Hardlines Finance

The US Hardlines organization is seeking a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join its Category Finance Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical leadership role by partnering with the category leader to influence strategic decisions in a multi-billion dollar business. This role is a highly visible opportunity that requires strong controllership sound business judgment and a proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the Stores organization.

This person will partner with leaders across several teams including retail category leaders operations merchandising and advertising and marketing teams to provide tactical execution and decision support.

Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a key Finance partner working directly with management and other internal stakeholders to influence business decisions through effective verbal and written communication data driven analysis and modeling and presentation of recommended actions and alternatives

- Manage the annual financial planning and quarterly budgeting exercises by providing accurate complete and timely forecasts
- Drive the core financial processes for the vendor relationship including Annual Operating Plans long range Strategic Plan and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews - this includes coordination with stakeholders in a number of markets globally
- Perform financial reporting ad-hoc business analyses and financial modeling using a broad range of tools including Excel and SQL
- Complete complex business modeling and analysis to drive revenue growth identify operating improvements deep dive on cost structures and analyze business opportunities/investments (ROI/NPV)
- Facilitate financial review meetings and Business reviews with cross functional teams and business leaders to ensure effective finance controllership and cost management with data analysis and follow through on actionable items
- Identify opportunities and drive automation in existing manual processes working with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key data is timely accurate and automated


- Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science)
- 3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 3 years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 3 years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

- Experience in financial modeling P&L management or analysis
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Experience with cube engine tools (e.g. TM1 Cognos or Essbase) SQL and Data warehouse

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
