POSITION SUMMARY

As a Lead Server in our community restaurant you will play a key role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our senior residents. With a focus on friendly professional and efficient service you will help ensure meals and special events are delivered with care and attention to residents dietary needs and personal addition to serving you will support a warm and inclusive dining atmosphere while building meaningful relationships with both residents and fellow team members. As a Lead Server you will also take on select supervisory responsibilities to help guide and support the dining team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet residents and guests warmly creating a positive dining atmosphere.
• Take meal orders accurately and deliver food and beverages promptly.
• Ensure meals are served according to residents dietary requirements and preferences including portion sizes and special requests.
• Ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all residents serving food and beverages with a smile.
• Prepare the dining room before each meal by setting tables with linens utensils and glassware.
• In the absence of the Culinary Director direct the service flow and supervise all front-of-house staff.
• Assist with scheduling and section assignments.
• Assist with special events including setup breakdown and service flow.
• Monitor all food handling procedures while providing a safe and comfortable work environment for all restaurant staff
• Communicate resident feedback and requests to the Culinary Director or kitchen staff.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines including proper handling of food and beverages.
• Ensure compliance with local health department regulations and Cogir senior living standards.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Education and certificates:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• A Food Handler Card with an understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes is a plus.

Experience Competencies and Skills:

• At least three to five (3-5) years of serving experience in a full-service restaurant setting preferably in an upscale environment.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a leadership position in a full-service restaurant setting focusing on high-quality customer service is a plus.
• Previous experience in senior living or healthcare is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills.
• Friendly patient and professional demeanor
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service.
• Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
