**Job Description:**
The selected psychiatric provider will:
- Deliver inpatient psychiatric care within a 30-bed adult mental health unit collaboratively working alongside another psychiatrist.
- Oversee patient management across three specialized units: Mental Health MICA (Mentally Ill Chemically Addicted) and Gero-Psychiatry.
- Engage in close collaboration with hospitalists medical specialists and community-based healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Actively participate in a multidisciplinary treatment team that includes counselors therapists case managers nurse practitioners and fellow psychiatrists.
- Provide treatment to a diverse population of adult psychiatric patients addressing a wide range of medical psychiatric and socio-environmental factors.
- Exhibit a commitment to delivering patient-centered and compassionate care.
- Partake in the units on-call rotation approximately one weekend in every six.
**Qualifications:**
- Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry.
- Candidates should possess or be eligible for a New York State Medical License.
- A DEA registration must be obtained prior to commencement of employment.
- A clean malpractice history is required.
- Submission of the most recent NPDB Self Query Report (dated within the last 30 days) is mandatory.

- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry
- DEA registration- New York State medical licensure
