Job Summary
The Guest Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness organization and overall appearance of guest rooms and assigned areas to ensure a comfortable safe and welcoming environment for hotel guests. This position follows established housekeeping procedures safety guidelines and brand standards while working efficiently and demonstrating attention to detail professionalism and guest-focused service.
Responsibilities
- Cleans all assigned rooms to company standard within designated work period
- Maintains professional appearance and demeanor throughout shift
- Follows all safety protocols and reports unsafe working conditions immediately
- Follows lost and found policies and procedures
- Plans organizes and completes work timely
- Takes initiatives shows ownership and goes above and beyond to assist guests with their needs
- Accepts feedback and coaching from supervisors
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
- Ability to bend stoop twist reach and kneel repetitively
- Safely work with provided cleaning chemical and equipment
- Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period
- Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
- Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT
Two years experience in housekeeping field or in customer service leadership is preferred.
High School Degree or GED equivalent preferred.
