Junior Finance Specialist (Subic Bay, Philippines)

The Junior Finance Specialist is responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting functions across the organization. This includes overseeing payroll accounts payable and receivable tax filings reconciliations and financial reporting. The role also involves resolving discrepancies coordinating with various departments and divisions and supporting operational accounting needsincluding inventory and financial management.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the full accounting cycle including journal entries ledgers reconciliations and month/year-end close.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP IFRS and statutory requirements.
• Manage payroll operations end-to-end including computation disbursement reconciliations and issue resolution.
• Handle A/P and A/R processes ensuring proper classification invoicing collections and reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset records calculate depreciation and manage asset capitalization/disposals.
• Ensure timely tax filings and statutory compliance (BIR SSS PhilHealth Pag-IBIG) liaising with auditors and regulators.
• Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis to aid decision-making and cost control.
• Drive audit readiness internal controls and process improvements while coordinating cross-departmental financial support.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Deliverables:

• Accurate monthly and annual financial statements.
• Timely payroll processing and statutory tax filings.
• Fully reconciled accounts with discrepancies resolved.
• Updated and accurate inventory records for F&A operations.
• Comprehensive cross-functional financial support and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience including general ledger payroll and reporting.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP IFRS and local statutory compliance requirements (BIR SSS PhilHealth Pag-IBIG).
• Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g. SAP Oracle QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical reconciliation and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience in budgeting forecasting and variance analysis to support management decision-making.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-departmental coordination and audit support.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities meet deadlines and recommend process improvements.
