About DTU Engineering Technology the section and the CEBE research program
The research area of the Department is Technology Implementation integrating both technical and social science disciplines. We develop tools and methods for successful technology implementation andstate-of-the-artengineering and executive education. Our activities are organized into research sections focusing on engineering education research and technology implementation across various engineering fields covering technical organizational and business aspects. This structure promotes cross-disciplinary exchange of research ideas and fosters a strong intellectual environment.

We research sustainable construction processes from the perspective of technology implementation which we refer to as Construction Transformation. This includes understanding construction as driver of societal transformation and an object of technological transformation focusing on how construction processes can support a sustainable and technologically advanced built environment. Our interdisciplinary group works closely with DTU Construct DTU Sustain DTU Compute and strong national and international industry partnersspanning the construction value chain and engaging with large public and private organisations.

CEBE Civil Engineering and the Green Transition in the Built Environment is a new research programme involving DTU Aalborg University Aarhus University and the University of Southern Denmark. The Villum Foundation is investing one billion Danish kroner in CEBE over the next 10 years. The vision for CEBE is a science-based circular low-carbon and resilient built environment within planetary boundaries regenerative by design radically efficient in its use of resources and resilient to climate extremes.
