Role Purpose

The purpose of the Receptionist role is to deliver an exceptional frontofhouse and customer service experience ensuring all visitors and colleagues feel welcomed supported and confident in their interactions with Starr. The role exists to support the smooth daytoday running of the office maintain a professional first impression and contribute positively to employee and guest experience as part of the wider Office Support strategy.

Scope of Responsibility

The Receptionist is responsible for creating and maintaining a professional friendly and efficient reception environment. The role focuses on providing a seamless visitor journey managing frontofhouse processes to a high standard and acting as a knowledgeable and approachable point of contact within the office. Success in the role is demonstrated through consistently positive feedback from visitors and colleagues a wellorganised and welcoming reception area and effective communication across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a professional warm and welcoming frontofhouse experience for all visitors and colleagues.
  • Maintain a clean tidy and wellpresented reception area that reflects a highquality corporate environment.
  • Coordinate meeting room bookings guest registration and building access to ensure visits and meetings run smoothly.
  • Act as the first point of contact for incoming calls and frontofhouse enquiries handling queries efficiently and professionally.
  • Support office wellbeing safety and compliance by coordinating desk assessments and related processes.
  • Work closely with Facilities and Office Support teams to support the smooth daytoday running of the office.
  • Be flexible to occasionally provide cover at the companys other office location when required.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a customerfacing or frontofhouse role with a clear commitment to delivering highquality service in a professional environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently clearly and courteously with a wide range of people both in person and over the phone.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple demands remain calm under pressure and prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
  • A proactive and responsible approach demonstrating reliability attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership for the reception area and visitor experience.
  • Confidence using core IT systems such as Outlook calendars and basic office technology with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • A professional positive and approachable manner with a natural ability to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Desirable/Development Opportunities
