Graduate Trainee Python & Gen AI

We are looking for a highly motivatedAI / Machine Learning graduate traineeto join the Calix AI/ML this role you will work onreal-world AI/ML and Generative AI problems contributing to models pipelines and intelligent systems that power nextgeneration Calix products.

This isnot a shadowing roleyou will design build experiment and ship alongside experienced engineers and data scientists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design implement and experiment withmachine learning and deep learning modelsfor product use cases

• Work onendtoend ML workflows including:

  • Data preprocessing and feature engineering

  • Model training evaluation and optimization

  • Experiment tracking and result analysis

• Contribute toGenerative AI and agentic systems including:

  • LLMbased workflows

  • AI agents orchestration and prompt engineering

• Develop prototypes and proofofconcepts that can evolve into production features

• Write clean maintainable and welldocumentedPython code

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (engineering product platform)

• Present findings demos and outcomes to the broader team

Required Qualifications:

• Recently completed aBachelors Degree (2024/2025 pass out)in:

  • Computer Science

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Machine Learning

  • Data Science

  • Or a related engineering discipline

• Strong Python programming skills.

• Handson project experience / strong knowledge & understanding with:

  • Machine Learning / Deep Learning

  • Generative AI or LLMbased systems

  • Agentic AI or multiagent frameworks

• Solid understanding ofcore AIML concepts including:

  • Multi Agent Systems

  • MCP server and tool calling

  • Supervised and unsupervised learning

  • Model evaluation and validation

  • Feature engineering basics

• Familiarity with common AI/ML libraries/frameworks such as:

  • LangGraph CrewAI Google ADK Microsoft AutoGen PyTorch TensorFlow or scikitlearn

• Comfortable working in aLinux/Unix environment

• Experience usingGit or other version control systems.

• Good communication interpersonal skills.

• IN PERSON INTERVIEW IS MANDATORY on the said date at Bangalore office.

• BCAs MCAs MBAs are not considered.

Added Advantage (Nice to Have):

• Exposure to:

  • NLP timeseries recommendation systems or anomaly detection

  • Model deployment concepts or MLOps fundamentals

• Experience with:

  • Cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure)

  • Data processing frameworks (e.g. Spark)

• Strong problemsolving mindset and curiosity to explore new AI techniques
