Student CAB Events Coordinator

The Newman University Campus Activities Board (CAB) seeks to enrich the collegiate student experience by offering a wide range of co-curricular experiences for students faculty and staff. CAB also seeks to provide leadership and engagement opportunities for students in the planning proposal promotion and presentation of activities designated to serve the cultural educational and social interests of the Newman University community.The job will begin in the FALL 2026 Semester.

Position Summary:

The CAB Events Coordinator serves as a leader of the CAB Executive Committee and works to schedule plan and execution of events and programs sponsored by CAB. This position is responsible for collecting student input for potential acts or vendors and student feedback to improve CAB events.

Position Duties:

1. Must hold 3-5 office hours per week in the CAB Office
2. Attend regularly scheduled CAB meetings
3. Plan and execute events
4. Perform tasks delegated by the Chairand CAB advisor
5. Keep and maintain all records of event information
6. Assist with event and program setup and tear down
7. Review and evaluate the progress of CAB events
8. Work with the Student Affairs Department staff to coordinate and oversee the direction of CAB
9. Ensure that CAB staff maintains their commitment to hosting quality events for the Newman University community
10. Make recommendations to the Director of Multicultural Engagement and Campus Life that contribute to the success of CAB
11. Attend CAB events and help as needed
12. Attend all required CAB trainings

Position Requirements:

1. Be a full-time Newman University student enrolled in 12 or more credit hours per semester
2. Abide by the Newman University Student Code of Conduct
3. High energy individual that can motivate others to perform at a high level
4. Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
5. Cannot hold another on-campus position that requires total work hours to exceed 20.

Pay is $8.25 per hour.
