Job Summary
This Accounting Co-op Analyst roleis tasked with a wide range of responsibilitiesthroughout the SBS General Accounting department. The tasks assigned to this role grant a wide range of experiencethat includes bankaccount reconciliation profit and loss statement analysis management reporting andjournal voucher creating and is a year-round position and would berequiredto work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Because this role involves access to confidential financial information the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments.
Responsibilities
- Assistwith daily balancing of credit card transactions in US & Canada Stores and associated files received from banking institutions andassistwithdaily rejects reports.
- Gather Account Receivable transactions on a weekly basis to reclass to proper GL account string
- Work with group Financial Analysts to ensuretimelyuploads ofsubmittedjournal vouchersthroughout the month and duringmonth endclose
- Compile customer complaint accrual lag analysis
- Assistin researching customer deposits (debit balances and other)
- Providetimelyresponses to chargeback inquiries from field personnel
- Act as a resource to HQ and field personnelregardingall financial related matters; achieve resolutionin a timely mannerandassistwith various ad hoc projects
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
Must be enrolled in a bachelors program or higher with a focus in accounting or finance
Must have the ability to work a minimum of one (1) year
Must be able to work in the office a minimum of 20 hours per week during normal business hours
Must have at least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word Excel Power Point Teams and/or Outlook)
