Your work tasks:
The postdoctoral position relates to the project titled An Integrated Approach to IoT Data Analytics. The project aims to integrate complementary but related expertise across the Departments of Electronic Systems and Computer Science at AAU. The project includes two major use cases. Together with medical experts the project aims to invent solutions for activity monitoring of older adults in their homes using wireless infrastructure data. For example this may enable detection of vital signs of adults falling and of decline in cognitive abilities. Together with engineers from the wind turbine company Vestas interests the project aims to invent reliable resilient and performant solutions to efficiently transmit and analyze high-frequency high-velocity multimodal data streams thereby enabling monitoring of offshore wind turbines. Your role will be to contribute to these uses cases by developing machine-learning based methods for analyzing IoT time-series data.
Your Competencies:
We seek a highly motivated researcher with a PhD in computer science proficiency in software development and a strong publication record in machine learning for time series that includes publications in top methodological outlets in machine learning. Beyond technical skills we value proactive collaborative team players with excellent communication skills for engaging with project participants.
