Job Summary
Are you a detail-oriented Draftsman with strong engineering capability and a focus on accurate practical design work We are looking for a skilled professional to join our team and take responsibility for producing detailed 3D engineering designs while working closely with clients and project teams to understand requirements translate concepts into precise technical drawings and ensure designs are executed effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description:
- Develop 3D CAD models for agricultural equipment and mechanical machinery
- Produce detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings
- Manage projects from initial sales handover through to manufacturing release
- Liaise with factory teams overseas designers and suppliers
- Accurately dimension mechanical components (motors gearboxes shafts structures)
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all projects
- Coordinate with procurement for material sourcing requirements
- Follow up on factory assembly and address technical challenges
- Conduct site visits to resolve design issues and adapt to operational conditions
- Contribute to continuous improvement through practical design solutions
- Minimum 35 years of experience in mechanical drafting
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Autodesk preferred)
- Strong understanding of fabrication and mechanical component design
- Experience in agricultural equipment fast-paced machinery FMCG or manufacturing environments is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills with a structured and detail-oriented approach
- Effective communication and teamwork across technical teams
- A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering Drafting or a related
