We are seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to perform advanced computed tomography procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role involves producing high-quality diagnostic images supporting patient care and ensuring compliance with clinical and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform complex CT imaging procedures and generate high-quality diagnostic images
Review patient history and verify exam appropriateness with physicians when needed
Prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with established protocols
Ensure patient safety comfort and proper preparation prior to procedures
Perform venipuncture and maintain IV access as required
Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after procedures
Utilize PACS and EMR systems to document and review imaging studies
Coordinate with radiologists and referring physicians for accurate imaging and diagnosis
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Provide clear instructions and communication to patients and caregivers
Assist in maintaining workflow efficiency especially in a busy emergency department setting
Adhere to all safety infection control and organizational policies
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
High School Diploma or GED
Active ARRT (R) certification
Valid NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License
BLS (AHA) certification
Minimum 2 years of CT experience (5 years preferred)
Strong knowledge of anatomy radiographic positioning and CT technology
Required Skills
Proficiency with CT imaging systems PACS and EMR platforms (e.g. Epic)
Experience working in high-volume or emergency department environments
Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
Ability to manage workflow efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Knowledge of contrast administration and patient safety protocols
Preferred Qualifications
ARRT (CT) certification (or willingness to obtain within 12 months)
Experience with Fuji PACS or similar imaging systems
Familiarity with hospital information systems (HIS/RIS)
Work Environment
Hospital / Radiology Department
Night shifts with weekend and holiday coverage
Physically active role (standing lifting moving equipment/patients)
