Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Medical Receptionist for Internal Medicine Clinic for Full-time day!
The Medical Receptionist is primarily responsible for performing reception clerical registration and medical record duties and functioning as the focal communication source for the Internal Medicine Clinic under the supervision of the Patient Care Manager. Works cooperatively with ancillary nursing medical and other patient-team personnel to maintain standards for professional ambulatory patient care delivery. *This is a Monday-Friday position working from 8:30am-4:00pm
As a Medical Receptionist you will:
- Perform patient check-in registration and appointment scheduling
- Verify patient information and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Process insurance verification collect copayments and support billing inquiries
- Answer phones assist patients and route calls appropriately
- Maintain patient records appointment logs and administrative documentation
- Support communication between patients providers and clinic staff
- Deliver excellent customer service and support efficient clinic operations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in medical reception patient registration or healthcare administration required
- Experience with scheduling insurance verification and front office operations preferred
- Strong customer service communication and phone etiquette skills
- Basic computer skills and experience with EHR systems preferred
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment
