Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing amazing nursing care to critically ill and injured patients from triage throughout their stay with us
• Working directly with our skilled veterinary team to deliver timely and effective treatment and patient care
• Monitor patients closely administer medications assist with medical and surgical procedures as needed
• IV catheter placement blood collection assisting with diagnostic imaging. This could progress to advanced line placements and advanced critical monitoring in our dedicated CCU for the right candidate
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols
• Client communication providing advice answering questions and supporting clients during stressful times

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent with minimum 2 years nursing experience
• A passion to advance their skills with regular CE and ongoing in-house mentorship
• Previous experience working within an emergency and specialty hospital would be highly regarded but not essential
• Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask/prioritise
• Ability to provide high quality patient care even in busy conditions
• A friendly team player attitude - team culture is very important to us!
• Strong communication skills
• Flexibility to work across days evenings overnight weekends and some public holidays
