We are currently looking for a highly motivated student to join us in ourToronto Ontario Canada office for a4-month co-op running from September 1st December 18th is a hybrid position where you are expected to be in the office Tuesday-Thursday with the opportunity to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
Position Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a team of data engineers focused on building reliable scalable data systems
- Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and workflows
- Assistwith data ingestion transformation and preparation for reporting and analytics use cases
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams to understand data requirements and support solutions
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
- Experience with SQL and at least one programming language (e.g. Python Java)
- Interest in data engineering concepts including data pipelines and data processing
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git Bitbucket)
- Strong communicationskills and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to data tools (e.g. Spark Databricks or similar technologies)
- Basic understanding of ETL processes data modeling or data warehousing
- Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g. AWS Azure or Google Cloud)
- Understanding of large-scale data processing concepts
