Internal Posting- Install Repair Operator-2nd Shift

ABOUT THE JOB

In this position youll have the opportunity to:  Ensure that customers will receive quality doors with on time delivery.

YOUR ROLE:   

• Stack doors onto pallet using proper technique
• Prepare doors for stretch wrapper and insure they are properly wrapped and tagged for shipment
• Repair doors using sanders bondo epoxy and epoxy gun clamps routers scrapers scrawls hammers knives and other engineer approved methods
• Refill and organize repair/packout area
• Record scrap
• Dispose of aerosol cans using document process
• Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:  

• High School Graduate/HSE or equivalent manufacturing experience
• Ability to be certified in all LOTO procedures for respective area
• Ability to be certified in all jobs of respective area
• Manage ambiguity while working through stressful situations
• Positive attitude and a willingness to work with others                                                     PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:   
• Ability to understand and read a schedule
• Ability to read a tape measure
• E21 knowledge
• Knowledge of different types of lites

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Physical demands of performing the duties of this job include but are not limited to occasionally lifting/handling up to <100 lbs. frequently lifting/handling up to <50 lbs. and constantly lifting/handling up to <20 lbs.

NON- PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Include but are not limited to time pressures frequent change of tasks irregular work schedule/overtime multi-tasking working closely with others as a team and tedious or exacting work.

• While performing the duties of this job the associate works around mechanical hazards noise and or vibration daily.  Extreme temperatures wetness / humidity and being outdoors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Ability to run respective inventory system (Great Plains E21 MES etc.).

LANGUAGE SKILLS: 

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos.  Ability to complete daily Pre-Use Inspection Sheets.

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $47860 USD - $57200 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a role-based sales incentive plan.
