Teppan Cook

We are seeking a skilled and personable Teppan Cook to prepare and cook meals on a teppanyaki grill in front of guests. The ideal candidate should possess strong culinary skills a flair for presentation and the ability to entertain guests while maintaining food quality and safety standards.

Qualifications :

Role and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook teppanyaki-style dishes including meats seafood vegetables and rice.
• Perform tableside cooking and entertainment showcasing knife skills fire tricks and engaging guest interaction.
• Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste presentation and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the teppanyaki station and kitchen area.
• Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to kitchen management.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Collaborate with other kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth service.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest requests or special dietary needs. 
• Proven experience as a Teppan Cook Hibachi Chef or similar role in a Japanese or Asian-fusion restaurant.
• Strong knife and grill cooking skills.
• Outgoing personality and comfortable performing in front of guests.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
• Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed.

Additional Information :

• Culinary training or certification.
• Experience with Japanese cuisine and teppanyaki-style cooking.
• Multilingual abilities (especially English and Japanese) are a plus.
