WHAT YOULL DO
As an AP Manager you are accountable for ensuring the delivery of AP SSC activities and will lead innovation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the service/optimize cost to increase value set out by the GPO (global process owner). You will be reporting to the GPO of AP and act as the key contact person for AP SSC operations. You lead the AP department within SSC in the right direction set out by the GPO. You are responsible for both AP SSC operations as well as responsibilities including performance management and salary conversations.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting to GPO
- Responsible for leading the AP process consistently within SSC by implementing goals and monitoring the performance
- Drive Key performance indicator (KPIs) in line with the SLAs to be used to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the sub process and end to end business process. Identify deviations find the root cause and resolve.
- Reports to GPO and set guidelines for Team Leads and its teams on how to run the operations. Escalate when KPIs are not met.
- Manage the collaboration between managers of other Finance & Accounting processes and stakeholders within H&M Group in an organized and efficient manner to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Ensure customer focus and be in close contact with AP GPO and other relevant stakeholders to continuously improve the global process
- Ensure continuous gathering and sharing of knowledge within the department and with internal and external stakeholders
- Need to have a good understanding how to operate AP activities in SAP and VIM
- Managing and structuring continuous improvement opportunities in the AP processes.
- Coordinates and implements process improvement initiatives along with Process Owner and other stakeholders
- Promote the culture of continuous improvement lead and ensure that initiatives associated with end-to-end AP process will be initiated and delivered.
- Contribute and collaborate with GPO Process Leads and IT/ Tech in central initiatives regarding requirements scope solution design test and post-go live validation/stabilisation
- You manage the recruitment training and development for your team.
- You evaluate and manage the performance of your team through regular feedback performance reviews development plans and follow-up. You take actions to improve performance and develop your team.
- You support guide and train Team Leads to be able to take a manager role in the future
- You ensure we have a success planning established
WHO YOULL WORK WITH
At H&M Group you will be part of the Accounts Payable team within Global Accounting as part of our Global Accounting Services. Our mission is to ensure quality and consistency across the function by guiding accounting teams and collaborating with key stakeholders. The team leads and develops global Accounts Payable processes and is accountable for driving efficient collaboration to enable optimized global support.
You are leading the daily operations in the designated Accounts Payable team by ensuring that assigned responsible areas are handled according to the AP processes in a timely manner. You develop and improve our way-of-working with AP processes and are responsible for enabling efficient collaboration to facilitate global support in an optimized manner.
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for people with:
- Degree (masters in accounting finance or equivalent) Professional qualification (e.g. CPA ACCA)
- Experience and understanding of Finance Operations
- Minimum 8 years of experience working in the AP function or similar role in a global cross-functional and multi-culture environment
- Experience with change management.
- Experience in automation tools and system interfaces is a requirement experience with SAP/ RPA addition it is important that you are motivated to understand our different business models and revenue streams
- Global accounting skills relevant work experience (account payable activities cost assignment VAT legal reporting Chart of authority (CoA) navigation/application payment operation and reconciliation closing intercompany transactions Analysis and Audit)
- SAP and VIM is a hard requirement
- Extensive experience and knowledge in various aspects of business management strategy and leadership and able to run a department independently
- Good communication skills to collaborate with various cross functional stakeholders
- Excellent command over English - verbal and written
- Ability to train in co-ordinate plan and lead activities
- Excel skills within data analysis/reconciliations (indexes lookups pivot tables)
- Good understanding of AI RPA and machine learning
