KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Candidate must possess the demonstrated ability and professional and personal characteristics necessary to work effectively with school personnel and community members. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff teachers administrators students and parents is an essential component of this position. The candidate must possess the ability to teach mathematics effectively and share this knowledge with peers. The ability to use various technologies in teaching mathematics is required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited college or university with a degree that includes mathematics education. Candidate must hold a Postgraduate Professional License and one or more of the following: a Masters Degree in Math or Curriculum and Instruction or another related Masters in Education. Successful experience in public education in this subject area is required.
