Join our Prime Financial Services Trade Limits team and help protect the firm by maintaining robust trading controls in a fastmoving environment. You will partner closely with traders business stakeholders and control groups across regions while supporting innovation and process improvement. Build deep product knowledge and contribute to a global function that values precision ownership and collaboration.
As a Prime Financial Services Trade Limits Associate in the Trade Limits function you will support the setup and maintenance of trade limits for futures and options and OTC products. You will help ensure strong risk monitoring and regulatory compliance investigate and resolve tradelimit issues and work with stakeholders across APAC EMEA and North America. You will also contribute to process improvements and support team deliverables that enable seamless trading across multiple products and markets.
Job responsibilities
- Onboard new traders and accounts ensuring complete and accurate setup.
- Set up and maintain trade limits on internal and external platforms for futures and options and OTC products.
- Monitor controls and support risk and regulatory compliance requirements for tradelimit activities.
- Investigate and resolve tradelimit issues and access exceptions within defined timelines.
- Coordinate with Legal Transition Front Office Middle Office Business and Client Service teams across regions.
- Support Asia reconciliations activities related to trade limits and trading controls.
- Escalate control gaps highrisk items and urgent issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Maintain procedures and job aids ensuring they remain current and accessible.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize accuracy efficiency and client experience.
- Contribute to change initiatives and strategic programs impacting tradelimit processes.
- Support team planning and delivery to meet marketsensitive deadlines.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Bachelors degree in Finance Commerce Operations or a related field.
- Minimum three years of operations experience in an investment banking or financial services environment.
- Working knowledge of futures and options equities fixed income FX and derivatives products.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to build relationships with traders and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to investigate issues and drive accurate resolution.
- Experience with query management reporting and data interpretation.
- High attention to detail and numeracy; ability to work methodically under strict deadlines.
- Strong risk and control mindset with the ability to appropriately challenge when controls may be compromised.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Excel and Word.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and regions.
- Basic knowledge of automation tools (e.g. Alteryx VBA).
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience setting or maintaining trade limits on internal or exchange/vendor platforms.
- Exposure to prime brokerage or derivatives clearing operations.
- Experience supporting reconciliations or control break resolution.
- Familiarity with change management or process improvement initiatives.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders in a marketsensitive environment.
- Proficiency with additional automation tools (e.g. UiPath) or basic SQL.
- Prior experience working across APAC EMEA and North America time zones.
