About us

The Growth & Performance Marketing team within Sun Lifes Client Experience Office (CXO) holds a commitment to deepening its value to the Sun Life organization. We continue to enhance our client acquisition and lead generation capabilities to support our Retail Advice & Solutions channels which include face-to-face Sun Life advisors and the Prospr DTC-advice hybrid channel. This role will be accountable for delivering strategies that drive lead generation and client engagement.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Marketing Manager Prospr the Marketing Specialist is responsible for designing and executing data driven campaigns with the goal to acquire new clients generate qualified leads and build client loyalty. The Marketing Specialist will collaborate across the Growth & Performance Marketing team and the broader CXO to deliver on client insight driven campaigns that meet business goals. We are seeking a high-performing self-directed marketer with proven execution capabilities and a history of delivering tangible results.

What will you do

• Drive end-to-end delivery from ideation to execution of marketing campaigns in channels such as email web mobile and call centre
• Translate business asks into marketing strategies by building Client engagement strategies to solve business problems and achieve business objectives
• Drive alignment to strategies through socializing them with key stakeholders and subject matter experts
• Proactively identify ways for the business to gain competitive advantage through marketing opportunities including digital solutions paid and earned media
• Develop clear relevant marketing content by collaborating with Copywriters and Designers while ensuring adherence to Sun Life brand guidelines. Manage requests for approval working with Compliance / Legal
• Work with Data leads and Data analysts to create impactful target segments for campaigns understanding Client profiles and selecting relevant criteria. Implement A/B tests for learnings where applicable
• Develop relevant marketing documentation (strategy briefs results including metrics and success measures)
• Collaborate with agile marketing teams on creative themes communication strategies and program plans to deploy via electronic web print or video media
• Publish content using AEM and work with email specialists to execute campaigns through Adobe Campaign Manager

What do you need to succeed

• Minimum 5 years in a Marketing Specialist or Marketing Coordinator role
• Strong owners mindset and bias for action; proactively utilize resources to deliver results
• Experience with digital marketing in a direct marketing capacity (email social media online ads push notifications etc.)
• Experience with marketing and digital data analytics with the ability to distill meaningful insights and use them to solve problems
• Communications skills (verbal and written) to effectively deliver complex information or ideas; ability to develop strong relationships
• Experience in progressive copywriting and editing especially for digital tactics
• Experience in Adobe Experience Manager
• Familiarity with working in an agile environment

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other addition to Base Pay eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
